While we are discussing things...
Do we really need to be inspecting for tiny holes in gloves? Particularily on the sword hand? I have yet to meet anyone who checked for holes in gloves that did so with common sense in mind.
I've had my fingers splayed apart to look for holes in the webbing between my fingers, I've had gloves pulled for a less than one millimeter hole in a fingertip.
This is not realistic.

While I couldn't find it in the ABrC's after a quick look.
It has always been SCA practice (At least for 27 years...) to downcheck anything that shows bare skin.
Does this make sense??? In a way, it helps keep interpretation to the least common denominator, which is what the measuring stick is for the SCA...

Oh. I thought the measuring stick was to beat people with.
I guess that explains why no one wants me to inspect them....
