I have a question about minors fighting.  The way i read the new rules is such that Minors older then 14 can authorize.  Once they are authorized they are permitted to fight in anything (including championships, melees, wars, etc...) as long as the requirements of the position (i.e. QRC) doesn't prevent them from holding the office. 

Am I reading this right, or is there a section that i am missing that talks to the contrary?  The authorization for minors is the exact same authorization as for adults?

Thoughts?

That was basically the last interpretation of the rule I heard.

That's always been society standard... the old AnTir rules didn't deal with it at all.  So we defaulted to that interpretatioin without asking anyone and figured until someone told us otherwise.   Then they put in the youth rapier program (I have no idea why) and mucked it all up.    Last I heard we dumped the youth rapier program (because it was kind of stupid really) and went back to the society standard.

Clarification:

There has never been a youth rapier program in An Tir. We were looking at putting one into place, but then the Society Rules changed, and the minimum age was reduced from 16 to 14. So the An Tir rules were updated to reflect that.

There was never any time that An Tir had higher restrictions than Society Rapier Rules for the minimum age allowed in Rapier Combat.
