So for those that have been through it, what would be the best course of action towards becoming a junior marshal?

Tell your local senior marshal you want to be a senior marshal too.

Hi Morgan,

I travelled extensively when I sought out to become a Jr.  For me it was about being educated by people that I trusted and admired for their work with the marshalate.  Usually its the marshal that gave you your Jr., will make you a Sr.  So thus find someone that works with you and you respect and ask to be tested and you will hopefully find yourself in a mentorship relationship with someone you work well with and feel comfortable with asking questions.  Its kind've like becoming a cadet, except this is for a marshalate situation.

Hey, thanks for the advice.  I didn't even realize a Jr marshal had a mentorship ideal.  I'm thinking that makes it easier and less overwhelming in the long run.   (and it makes sense, strangely enough.  I've witnessed it countless times mundanely.  It's easier to work with somebody that knows what they're doing until you get the hang of it, then jumping into it right out! )
