I think we as marshals (who do a majoriy of the MiCing, duh...) should develop a way that we can provide get feedback from scenario participants, and share that information with the other marshals.  This would really help to establish what the group as a whole prefers as far as scenarios.  I think of my job as an MiC as two-fold: 1) ensure safety of all the particiapants (aka the normal marshal schtick) and spectators, and 2) to provide the scenario particiapants with the most fun that they can safely have/handle.

Each MiC has their own personal prefrences as far as what type of scenarios they and their friends like, but that shouldn't neccessarily drive all of the scenarios at an event.  For example most of my friends and myself included like melee combat with rbgs and the whole shebang, but i know that a majority of the people that came to July coorination (which i MiC'd) would want more traditional style of tourney's (aka the cadet and standard double elimination tournaments).  I thought of a scenario that i thought would benefit everyone, but after having posted the scenarios i found that the majority of people wanted just the good ol' traditional stuff so i obliged the masses so that more people would enjoy the event.

If we could somehow capture this sort of information and share it then i think people would have a lot more information when it comes to developing scenarios for different events.

Something to think about.

Discuss?

Sounds like a good idea. Isnt there a reporting form or something that could hold this kind of information? Since that eventually ends up in one place for the Kingdom (ahem), it could probably be consolidated and posted somewhere.

Could we add a section to the MIC report that talks about how well the scenario was received and stuff?
