Is anyone else having problems downloading the And hey, does it have to be printed on canary cardstock?

I'd assume that it doesn't have to be printed on the nice, yellow crispy stuff; my (now mauled and covered in burn holes, looking a lot like my punchcards usually do after work ) fighter card was printed on the average joe printer paper! |

Alessandra gets them on stuff other than yellow cardstock and I haven't seen her reject one because of it. If you can fill out as much of the form as possible prior to printing it, since her not being able to read it is a reason to reject it.
And as a note everyone to save possible grief...
Verify that the person that is conducting your authorization/reauthorization is really a member before they sign your card.
and:
She will be on vacation (we are going to Disneyland!!!) for part of August, so if you or any one you know needs to be on record as authorized for any activity at September Crown, it would be good to have the card to her before the end of July. This time of the year is pretty busy for her when it comes to cards (there were 3 envelopes of them in the mail box yesterday), and it is a first come first entered system...
and (last one I promise)
Don't forget a valid email address if you want a confirmation message from her when you get into the database.
and (I lied) I am very glad that she steps down at 12th Night. You all have been great to her, but I could have strangled a heavy or two over the last 4 years.

Simon, you don't mean those guys who show up at lists without their fighter cards and then, when the list mistress refuses to sign them up, say (loudly), "Time was when a white belt MEANT something in this Kingdom"...do you??

Luaithrenn,
That would be the polite end of the impoliteness she has had to endure. To this "Time was when a white belt MEANT something in this Kingdom"... you almost want to say (and in my case almost have...after all I'm the guy that told a king that his sword was made of giant grass) yes, once it meant you weren't a lout with no life...

easy now, kids. That's a LOT of peeps you're painting with that brush. I'm pretty sure that I know the KSCA you are speaking of, and there's a whack of livin' in the past going on there - and he's likely not an exception to the rule either. HOWEVER, I know for a FACT that there are many Knights who appreciate Denise's amazingness. My boy included.
So yep - Word to yer momma, yer wife is stupendous and amazing. And Hawt. **Grin** |

Wow...the quote feature actually worked...well, it missed a word or two, but better than nothing I guess)!
The enormously huge majority of the heavies (read all but a small handful) are great guys (and girls) and treat my wife really well, so my brush is fairly narrow. With out a doubt if the rapier community was as big or had been around 40 years I am sure we would have our fair share of boboheaded-a$$hatted-chumps.
I definitely second the stupendous, amazing and hawt comments.

We definitely have our fair share, at the least.
And I'll add my appreciation for Alessandra as well. She will be a tough act to follow when she retires from Lists.

And I'd like to state that in addition to the great job at events - I love what has happened with the List web info. It's very nice to be able to do a quick check on authorizations.
Now now, no telling stupid rapier fighters at list stories. It ruins our perception of being good and virtuous.... Besides we don't want to fill the servers hard drive. |

I've been filling out my forms (all types of forms) online, printing them, signing them, then using a modern fax machine to email a PDF scan of it to myself, which I then email to lists (and CC anyone else that needs to weigh in on it). Lists has to print it off at her end, but no complaints so far, and it avoids snail mail.
