fighters within the Oregon borders to enter the Summits Rapier
Championship! Permission has also been granted to extend residency
requirements for those that desire to attend and have the fortitude
to travel the distance.

The time of feasting and Royal celebration is upon us! Come to the
coast for the 11th Night feast, festivities and official meetings.
December 13th in Gold Beach,OR
Hosted by The Shire of Tymberhavene
Their Alpine Highness's Prince Gustav Beiskaldarazi and Princess
Sofia Matriani della Tempesta would like to invite all citizens of An
Tir to join them as they invest their worthy heirs Tanist Brian of
Ledbury, and Ban Tanist Acacia Gryffyn in accordance to the law and
tradition.
Rapier fighters are asked take to arms and compete in the Summits
Rapier Championship Tournament as we search for a worthy successor
for the Alpine Rapier Champion and the title Captain of the Cats. A
complete description of tournament and requirements are listed below.
Skilled artisans are encouraged to compete for the Principality of
the Summits Arts and Sciences Championship and the honour of holding
the title Alpine Scholar. See below for a complete description of
competition rules and requirements.
Also offered NEW this year is an A & S Showcase, First Time Entrant
Acknowledgment. The First Time Entrant Acknowledgment is designed for
individuals who have never displayed their item(s) in an A & S
Competition. This is meant to be a fun, encouraging experience which
will provide folks with the opportunity to "get their toes wet",
without having to completely jump in the water! These entries are
also highly encouraged. A full description of competition rules are
listed below.
Another NEW addition this year is the Alpine Highness' Personel
Choice Award! This will be chosen from ALL entries submitted to the
Alpine Scholar Competition and the A & S Showcase/First Time
Entrant. The award is an acknowledgment of an item or items that
garner special attention from the Prince and Princess.
Peerage meetings and moot are also scheduled.
The evening will conclude with the first court of our new heirs.

As the sun sets over the Pacific and official duties are done come
and enjoy a glorious feast of beef burgandy with all the trimmings.
Talented Bards will step forward with song and story to entertain us
all. Site is discretely wet. Those who would partake in feasting and
festivities are encouraged to let their desire be known by
preregistering.

Site info: Event Center at the Beach (aka Curry County Fairgrounds)
29392 Ellensburg Ave (hwy 101) Gold Beach, OR 97444. Many hotels are
available, some withing walking distance of the event. Site opens at
9:00am and closes at 11:00pm.
Site fees: Adults no feast $15, adults w/feast $18. Youth 10-17
$10, Youth w/feast $13. A family cap of $40 w/includes feast is in
place. Make checks payable to Shire of Tymberhavene, SCA Inc. $3
nonmember surcharge applies.
Directions: Take Hwy 101 to Gold Beach, Event is located off hwy 101
in the middle of the town of Gold Beach. Turn west into the Event
Center at the Beach (aka Curry County Fairgrounds) Which is clearly
marked. DO NOT TAKE, the directions that mapping services give,
which takes you through the towns of Galice, OR and Agness, OR. Road
names are the Galice road, BLM-34-8-36, and CR-595. These roads are
also listed as the Rogue/Umpqua scenic byway. At this time of the
year certain hardship and danger exist.

CAPTAIN OF THE CATS RAPIER TOURNAMENT
Greetings Rapier Fighters!
Tournament Format:
highly variable based on number of combatants; most
likely a French Masters Tourney (London Masters variant).
Requirements will be:
Current Rapier Authorization
Current SCA Membership
Resident of Summits or the lands north of the Summits to the Columbia
River (i.e. a resident of Oregon).
Letter of intent to be given to the Highnesses prior to tournament.
Permission has been granted from Her Highness to extend the residency
requirements.
