I understand that this event is still a little more than a month away still, but I am planning on attending this event.

That being said for me to attend this event it is going to be approximately a 20 hour drive 1 way. That is fine, but if I am going to make this trek I'd like to know if people are planning on showing up.

Quite frankly I was rather disappointed in the turnout to the Cadets tourney at Coronation this past weekend and if Crown is going to have similar numbers then I might as well stay home because I can fight in a tournament with that many people at an event only 5 hours away.

I'm not going to harp on people about traveling more, I figure people will travel as much as they can or choose too. I just want to know who IS planning on going? And does anyone know what's up for rapier at this event?

As will I.  I'd like to get some more fights in against folks at core, given the wider variety of fights available there.  Eira, since it's much closer to most fighters, there should be a decent turnout.  It's not on the I-5 corridor (even an hour off the I-5 cuts out a lot of the lazier travellers), so it won't be a hundred fighters on site.  I'd guess somewhere between 60 and 75.

I will be staying in Kent for a few days after Crown, too, so hopefully I'll be able to make a practice in the area.

OK, fine, I'm unapproachable. Keep your distance or I'll pez you.

60 fighters would be excellent!

I'm planning to be there, as is Basileus, and I think one or two other Aquaterrans will come out.

Angelline is the Rapier MiC for this event. There should be a TON of rapier fighting going on as well. Quite a full day planned for Saturday, with 1-2 tournaments on Sunday, and another Monday.

I will be there, and I will also be staying during the week for Autumn War. Could be a good time to do some study sessions, for anyone interested.

BTW, Thore, depending on who all decides to stay onsite during the week between Crown and Autumn War, practice may be sparse.

If anyone is in contact with angeline can you have her post the rapier activities as soon as she can so people get some ideas of what and when things are happening...

Yes - that conversation has already been had. At this point it is too early to know what the schedule will allow for though...

Holy monkey! Talk about a pile of steel.

Due to the schedule and the number of positive responses, I'm gonna try and work this in somehow.

I'll be there as well.

And Note that to fight in the cadet tourney you must be a cadet or be formally sponsored by one. IOW the sponsoring OWS must confirm their sponsorship with lists etc.
or so I'm told.

I plan on being at Crown Friday (late), Saturday and Sunday.

I will bring my Cut and Thrust Kit as well if people have interest in seeing what that is all about.

I understand from Angelline that she pans to have lists open as early as 8am for the morning tournies and reopen in the afternoon after a lunch break

I've asked her for a more concise break down of the times and will post as soon as she sends it to me

Hey all,

The posted schedule for rapier looks like this:

Saturday: 10 am Open Field Rapier Tourney, 12 pm Cadet's Tourney, 2:30 pm Sable Rose Tourney, TBA Evening Plank Tourney

Sunday: 3 pm White Scarf Invitational

Monday: 10 am Round Robin

Sounds like tons of fun, and I'm real excited to see y'all and show off the nasty tricks I learned from my Atlantian friends. There's more rapier planned for Autumn War but I don't really wanna post that as well.
