At Clinton War, Academie Duello will host a demonstration of period case fighting with rapier.
Our students will engage in free play with case, demonstrating how beautiful period case play can be. When they are done with that, they will then accept challenges from all comers, and demonstrate how deadly period case play can be.
The time and location of the demonstration will be announced at the war.

There will be four students demo'ing: Justin, Lee, Dan and Clint. You might know Lee as "Lucien" on this board.
It won't be a talky demo, they are just put on a fighting demo for a few minutes, and then then the four of them will each head up a line, and take on challenges. Should be enough steel for everyone.
I won't be fighting...I'm there to show off my students, not myself.

The demo will probably happen saturday or sunday. Depends. Maybe friday eve.

Right, one more thing before I forget:
I'm too broke to bring beer up to Clinton, so I'm making one-event offer:
I'll teach 15 minute lessons on rapier, Italian or German Longsword, period wrestling, or dagger work, for a beer.
Find me at my camp, with the Magpie banner. Lessons will be available anytime during work week or war weekend, when I am not busy doing something else.

If I may make a reccommendation... This sounds like a fantastic fundraiser. Pick you favorite travel fund or ggroup in need of funds (the Alvarro Beer Foundation sounds like it could use some help). Charge a dollar per challenger. It's a great way to raise some money for a good cause.
