Anyone know if there is going to be rapier at July Coronation? If so what?

I told a bunch of folks that I'd be attending, but I've had to cancel due to a very badly scheduled bachelor party.
Sorry to those I promised fights. Y'all have fun. |

Interesting question. Not one I would have thought of needing to be answered before, as there is rapier at every Crown/Cornation type event
But I do apologize for not posting this info sooner. Its been a bit hectic here lately. Here are the plan of events for July Coronation
Saturday 9am - 10:30am (or whenever Court actually starts): Rapier Marshals Meeting (at or behind Lists Pavillion) Saturday 1pm - 3pm: Cadet Tourney
Sunday morning (shortly after the start of the Heavy Champions Tourney): Prize Tourney... With different rules. See below:
The tournament consists of no more than 6 rounds of fighting (including the finals), though there will be plenty of fighting available for everyone. Pairings in the first four rounds will be determined by a semi-random draw at the beginning of the event. The pairings are referred to as semi-random due to the fact that should a specific pairing be repeated in the draw, the names will be thrown back into the “pot”, and redrawn.
After the first four rounds, the top five fighters will go on to fight each other in a round robin format, after which the top two fighters will compete against each other’s skill to see who can first reach 2 out of 3 wins.
The intent of this tourney format is to emphasize effective use of the sword in both technique and style. This tournament is not meant to emphasize our competitive nature, or winning. Looking good is valued above winning at all times. For the most part,a very simple tourney format.
However, there is one caveat: When each fighter signs into lists, they will declare the weapon combination(s) that they will use for each of the first four rounds. Repeating weapons combinations between rounds is perfectly allowed. The only restriction is that the weapon combinations claimed at lists must be adhered to by all fighters. This will be denoted on their card, and announced by the herald at the beginning of each fight.
Weapon Combinations allowed: Single sword, sword and dagger, sword and buckler, sword and cloak
