The Royal Company of the Sable Rose invites you to participate in the Sable Rose Emprise Sunday, July 8; adjacent to Midhaven’s Champion’s Event, Saturday, July 7.

Much thought and coordination went into this event to ensure fighters and riders could participate in or watch all the tournaments.

The Romancing the Rose Rapier Tournament and Heavy Fighter Pas d'Arms, will not require letters of intent but will require the fighter have an inspiration present in whose honor they fight and that they be prepared to show themselves with much pageantry and showmanship.

We are trying to recreate the grand days of the tournament fields in all their splendor.

The Ladies of Berfrois will help judge which fighters are deemed the most chivalric, have the
best displays of heraldry, and comport themselves best in honor of their inspiration and the other ladies present.

The Rapier Tournament is being planned by Monsignor Richard and Don Wolfgang. 

The Heavy Pas d'Arms is being planned by Earl Michael and Sir Gernon with help from Duke James.

The Emprise course is being planned by Sven. It will be followed by a Grand Melee.

Everyone bring banners and other heraldic decorations.

The Royal Company of the Sable Rose, Argent was founded on the concept that pageantry, spectacle, chivalry, and authentic representations are integral to the recreation of Historical Tournaments. Furthermore a consistent ambience of Courtly Love is intertwined in this presentation of homage to the Ladies of the Rose in a grand Company of the Sable Rose Emprise once a year and at the Romancing the Rose Rapier tourneys throughout the year.
The Company was awarded Royal status in the year AS XLI, being 2006 Gregorian, by King Amalric and Queen Caia of An Tir.
