It is my privilage to announce the speedily upcoming event of Sir Edward's Memorial Tournament, here in my lovely Shire of Shittimwoode! A brief with details and links can be found here (http://shittimwoode.org/events/sireddies/). Now, why does this concern you? Well, Sir Eddie's is host to the Shittimwoode Rapier Championship tournament, as well as (this year) The Golden Ribbon Memorial tournament.
The Shire tournament is being run by the outgoing champion, a fellow who is usually known as Caiphus, though occasionally we just shout "Hey you!" and stab him.
*Ahem*
Anyway....
In brief, the Golden Ribbon Memorial is about passion for the sword, the fight, the art. I, as the current holder of the ribbon, will fight all comers until my body decides to be done. That said, I expect to be be well-challenged!
The times for both tourneys are currently not fixed, but most likely the championship will be Saturday morning, and Golden Ribbon will be either Saturday afternoon, or late Sunday morning. The autocrat needs to get back to me about that. If enough people show and feel motivated, we may well see about a torchlight tourney Friday evening.
While I've got your attention, I'd like to also mention that Sir Eddie's tends to be a fine camping event, even if it does rain (it's a good site), there will be Ithra classes, and rumour has it the royals will be there. Always fun!
Also, my encampment will be hosting an open birthday party for all us April babies, because we love any excuse for a party. It will be easy to find, just follow the noise! I'll be providing a cake (or maybe cupcakes...); I leave it to others to bring beverages they like to drink. I have a bad habit of guess wrongly.
In super-short: come play with me, because I have no local rapier practice, and I don't get out much!
Okay, done pimping for now. I'll be happy to answer any questions I can!
Most merrily, Lady Tabytha Morgan

| Lists should open shortly after morning court, so probably about 9:30. |

I have this from an email from Caiaphas, who is running the Shittimwoode Shire Championship:
"Greetings, and hallucinations...... This is an alert
for the autocrat team and anyone else whom maybe interested. It has
been requested that I oversee the rapier tournament. So, here is what
I would like to do. Opening court - That's where everyone gets together and talks about how much fun we are going to have. Right after opening court - Lists open for the rapier championship 30 minutes after opening court - armor inspection begins for the rapier championship 1 hour after opening court - rapier tournament for the rapier championship begins
The tournament will be a round robin (everyone fights everyone once).
How long will it last??? Don't know. It all depends on how many
combatants show up. It shouldn't take more than an hour. After that,
the top records will fight it out for the championship. No case.
Double kill, double dead.
Overall, I don't think it would take more than a three hour block
after opening court. Might take less. That's the current plan, and it
is open to rearrangement based upon the autocrat's or the royal's
needs.
Pass it along to anyone and everyone. Thanks.
Caiaphas"
He forgot to mention which day, but it will be Saturday.

Yesterday, I inquired for more specifics and this was sent to me by the Caiaphas;
For those of you interested in what time to show up for Eddies Rapier times are as follows
> Sat 10 AM court > lists open right after court > 30 minutes after court ends inspection begins > 30 minutes after inspection begins the tournament begins.
In other words Rapier is sometime after 10am (approx 1 hour after) on Saturday
