I've got some confusion on this, as I've heard it was the long weekend, then I heard it was the weekend before the august long weekend; can anybody clear this up? Thanks! I need to book the time off asap  |

Hey there Mat,
I checked on the Lions Gate Website and they have it listed as the first weekend in August which is the 4th (Fri) - 7 (Mon). Here is the link in case you need clarification: http://www.lionsgate.antir.sca.org/cgi-bin/cgcal?events/082006
BTW that weekend is a Canadian Civic Holiday for the Monday, Aug 7th. Take care and see you at the event.

I would first check with the MIC of the event. It would be with the Barony of Lions Gate, perhaps with one of its officers such as the Rapier Branch Marshal. Currently their website lists my good friend Lord Augustine Cadet to Maestro Guidobaldo. Here is the link to: Lions Gate's officer website
Last year the MIC was their Rapier Branch Marshal which was then Lasairiona.
Hope this helps as where to go. Also if anyone is interested in running roving rapier and that spot isn't taken for an organizer. You would need to contact the autocrat for the event or the MIC for the event.
