Some excellent choices were made by don Pierce who took on Liam Dughlus and Vincent Hawkyns as cadets, and scarving them both at the same time to eliminate any 'seniority".
don Alvarro took on Henry Hawkyns... so sorry to the other WS who may have been looking to take him on... Alvarro beat you to it  |

Congrats to all three. You guys rule.
Good call on scarving Liam and Vince at the same time to eliminate the seniority thing. I'm sure my JUNIOR Cadet brother, HE Dietrich, would agree. |

A lot of the WSs have kow that there were great fighters in North and Central BC (along with many other parts of the amazing Kingdom). I kjnow many people would have loved to forge a realationship with fighters from that area, but it has to work for both parties. And the student/teacher/mentor/whatever relationship has to be workable for all parties.
I can only speak for myself on this part ... I have though many times of looking into forging a WS/cadet relationship with a fighter from that area. I was in a long distance deal with Raoul when I was a cadet. It is a lot of work to make it work. lots of making extra trips, lots of phone calls, etc. The one thing I had that made it easier on me was a great practice/travel partner. We'd call Raoul after every practice and event and break it all down.
The biggest reason I didn't follow through on looking at a relationship was the fact that I didn't think I'd be able to hold up my end of the deal. It is nothing against the fighters up there, it knowing what I am willing and able to do. So it is often the 'other' side of the deal that isn't there.
morale - don't assume that lack of WS/cadet relationships is a slag aginst those in the area.
