Before I go and do anything stupid, are Angus Trim blades worth the investment? My chopped down 43" to 37" hanwei is nearing the end of it's lifespan and will need replacing shortly, but as the longer 43" hanwei's handle like fishing poles, I was thinking about upgrading and wanted too hear people's opinions before I went out and dropped a day and a half worth of paycheck into a new blade. Thanks all!

You will find that the Angus Trim rapiers behave in an entirely different manner than the Hanwei's do. I like AT blades because they "feel" like a sword, they have a solidity to them, and whippyness is not a character of them.

On a weight scale, its probable that the AT blade will be slightly heavier than some of the other simulators out there, but the AT blades have balance and 'feel' that for me, negates any weight issues.

If you are coming to ursalmas, and haven't had a chance to play with the AT blades, let me know. There are several of us that have them. Also, "Gus" in the past couple of years has often been present in the dealers room at Ursalmas. I don't know what his on-hand stock is, but if he's there, you can the man directly with any technical questions you have.

If you can afford the AT blades I'd recommend them highly.

Following up the AT blades I'd recommend Darkwood, and Del Tin.
