So...is the Raoul that stayed at my house for Ursalmas just an actor hired to play the part of Raoul?

Of course, this logic is truly flawed because I seem to recall hosting nearly everyone on this site, (except Jon), at least once in my camp. Very odd behavior for an "unapproachable" person.
I've stayed in Sharc. Everybody's just smart enough to stay out of my way *g*. Well, Robin talks to me but I've known him for a dozen years and we mostly talk about whompin' people.

John: You don't count... Unless this included the outside An Tir area. Ruling Dormouse I'm the most unapproachable (bad tempered, mean, arrogant, etc. etc.) person anywhere and everywhere. I am forced to start an awful lot of sentences with "I hate people..." and "Why are you speaking to me?"
Oh, and I made another waitress cry last week.

Yeah Billy and look where it got you. Now you're unapproachable too.
And besides it's not true. There have been several confirmed Raoul sightings over the years.

| Simon, that was the real Raoul alright. You could tell by his unwillingness to leave your kitchen all evening. |

Actually Bert, it backfired on him.... I inadvertantly popped Luciano in the crotch while trying to hit him in the short ribs to cause him to expose his noggin. Well the noggin was exposed none-the-less, and it was hit. I apologized profusely afterward...

I'm still working on becoming more unnapproachable. It's kind of a weird change after years of being....uhm...does it count as "approachable" when people want to "approach" you with pitchforks and torches? ;)
Maybe I shouldn't have changed my persona... |

I had to add my two cents...
I've never met an unapproachable Don.... is it cause they see me coming??
Or maybe it's my... "so you got a white scarf.. meh" attitude.. followed by the "you can teach me What???!!!... KEWL!!!" phrase..
Then again.. there are a few I've never met before...... |

Posted By Raoul on 07-13-2006 2:19 PM Simon, that was the real Raoul alright. You could tell by his unwillingness to leave your kitchen all evening. Hahahahahahahah - Oh, the great Saskatchewan / Avacalian Kitchen party. Funny how it always migrates to the kitchen.....
Anyway, Personally I used to be afraid of white scarves... But, now
that I've been in the game for awhile, I don't find them so
unapproachable.
I don't know that I'd personally have the balls to go up to one and say
"hey, can I be your cadet?", at least not right now anyway.
So, for me it's not that they're unapproachable, it's just my own
feeling of rudeness at asking a presumptious question like that.
*shrugs* I'm sure I'll get over it eventually.

Hmmm, unapproachable..gotta be Thore...
at least with fibreglass in hand ;)
I recall times past when I was awed by the scarves (being from a martial arts background, I was looking at them as the Masters)...but, now I know that yer all fun and only seem unapproachable at times because everyone else sees the scarf and wants to chat with y'all as well...

I think I have all the others beat, as for half the year the only way to approach me is to get on a private jet and fly to the Acrtic - then get through security.

You work in the diamond mining industry? Sweet! I toured a diamond cutting place once in grade 11, and that was intense; chain link fences with barbed wire atop them, and more camera's than you could paint over! Plus, to get through the doors, as I recall, they photocopied everybody's drivers licence.
okay, I'll be serious for a minute *sigh*
After looking at pictures of me trying to fight using a square target (it's a horrorshow! )...I gotta say...the only way I'd ever become a cadet or student or whatever too a don is if they were fluent in using one and could kick a. with it.
I don't know why I don't approach dons or whatever, I never actually payed attention too it. I'm pretty quiet and layed back in person, unless I'm being egged on. I usually just hang out with the people I know, and branch out from there. I've only ever met a couple of the don's in person, but I don't remember talking to them too terribly in depth. |

Most unapproachable? Prospere - he has the longest reach.
I was cured of my white-scarf fear early: my first practice outside of Shittimwoode involved Guido, Magdalena, Mona, Basileus, and me. There was no way to not meet Guido, and once I met him, no one else seemed quite as scary. |

I was more thinking on the first time we played single stick and you went from being six foot whatever to shorter than Ramon for a minute as you collapsed from receiving your first shot to the ribs.
You did get me back later, with the crotch shot in Calgary. As a note to people that don't know this, you need to take your mask off before you drink Guinness. After Mouse hit me, I needed something to drink, went over to my beer, and proceeded to put it my mouth to drink, only to find that I was impeded by my mask. Course I wasn't thinking too clearly, having just been smacked in the crotch.

You DO know that Billy is the nicest and most approachable person on the face of the planet, right? And being so tall, he's always one of the easiest to find
I'll agree with Siobhan with that fact that once upon a time WS scared me. But now that I literally live down the street from one, I've come to realize that they're not scary at all. They are just regular geeks like the rest of us. |

No, maybe it's because I don't like people just sitting there staring at me for no apart reason. Maybe it makes me nervous simply for the fact that it's WEIRD and uncomfortable to be stared at.
So quit staring at me you weirdos!!!
Besides, I have nothing to feel guilty about, you're the bad one, not me. |
