Good day!
I would like to invite all of you (and more! pass
this along!) to come to the fair city of Bellingham for an afternoon
of all the rapier play you like. This is basically intended to be a
big, open, non-officially- SCA practice, plenty of bear-pitting, maybe
some teaching--like being at event, without the event to distract us.
This would be a great time to bring that friend or roommate who might
be interested, but is too shy to come out to regular practice or an
event. Non-fighters are most definitely welcome! The key words here
are "friendly" and "fun"--and of course, "safe".
The site: Cornwall Park, in Bellingham, on Meridian Street.
The date: Saturday, October 6, 2007
My
thought is to start at noon, and have a potluck picnic around 6 or 7
pm. The park has charcoal grills for cooking, as well as running water
and bathrooms. I'd say it's kid- and dog-friendly, but I do recommend
that you keep your dogs on leash and make sure someone is watching dogs
and kids while you fight.

P.S. I put this in the "Pub" instead of "Events" because it's nowhere near to being any sort of event--though if it kinda turns into one, that might not be bad at all!
