I absolutely do want to wake up early to do some pickups. We should try and coordinate something

LOL we'll figure something out. I don't really want to have to wake up early either, I'd rather be recovering from partying

Is anyone able to shed light on what fencing will be happening at 12th Night?

Am thinking about flying into Vancouver but want to make sure I get enough fencing bang for my buck for the event

Sunday is the Kingdom championship tournament.
plus I think Eira is trying to organize some pretourney pickup fighting (BTW, I'll show up for the pick-up)

as people get eliminated and between rounds, there is usually pick-up fighting.

I don't know what the venue is like, but typically there is no room for pick-ups on Saturday.
If the weather is nice I guess we could find some space outside to do pick-ups?!?!

Thanks William

Can we expect the fencing to be indoors outdoors or both

I gather that the weather will be relatively mild but probably wet - well at least compared to Peace River

What else can we look forward to

The tournament itself will be indoors. Usually its the only fencing scheduled for the weekend so anything outside of it is on people own initative. Find yourselfs a place and time and have fun. Chances are though that all the indoor spaces will be in use with the huge number of meetings that go on and court.

Since the schedule hasn't been posted online yet, I've sent an e-mail to see if I can get the start time for the tourney.

Maybe we can figure out some space for pick-ups. Is there anyone on here that is local for the event, that might be willing to contact whoever is in charge of the rapier? The website didn't list contact info for which ever that person is, and although I am more than happy to talk to people, I am in another province, it might be easier for someone local.
